Individual Note: BIOGRAPHY: Born in the central area of Texas and migrated to Arizona in 1918 in a Model T Ford with his parents and Brother Rodney. Worked on a farm and the family moved to Long Beach where he worked in a Lumber yard until they moved back to Gilbert. Graduated from Gilbert High School and went to College at UCLA for a time. Returned to the valley and began work at Salt River Project as a bookkeeper. Later moved to Production Credit Association where he was promoted to Secretary and Treasurer. He held this post until he retired at the age of 65.

Individual Note: He was born in Okolona, Clark, Arkansas. When he was a teen ager, his family moved to central Texas. He went by train back to Okolona to marry Fannie Boyer. He stop off at Prescott, Arkansas to obtain the marriage license and then got back on the train to finish his trip to Okolona.
They were married in her family's home after lunch and then left on the train for Texas.
Joseph served a Deputy Marshall of Gilbert and Dog Catcher for Gilbert from December 1921 to December 1922
Joseph also served as a zanjero for the town of Gilbert during the Christmas holidays of 1921
He served on the Higley School Board (dates unknown)

the family moved to Long Beach and He worked in a Lumber yard. Met and married Enid Cooley in Los Angeles. They moved back to Gilbert. Graduated form Gilbert High School, Became a farmer in the Coolidge area until his death.
At the time of Marilyn's birth, the family was living in Higley, Maricopa, Arizona and Rodney worked as a Zanjero for the local water district.

In 1896, Volunteered for the Army, but was rejected.
Lived in Dayton, Ohio unil 1898, when he moved to Mesa, Arizona with his friend, Hugh Pritchard.
Was elected to the Mesa City Council in 1908 and re-elected in 1910.
Served as the Superintentant of City Utilities from 1920 to 1924.
He stated at one time that his Great Uncle was Carl Czerny, a famous composer. As of 1/18/2001, this still has to be proved.
He worked for Harry Chandler and ran the power house that was built northwest of Mesa where the canal drops over the mesa. The location is now part of the Mesa Country Club.
Given name on Bohemian records is Frantisek which translates as Frank.
