S.R. Durand:
"Henry Peck, Deacon William Peck, and Joseph Peck were early settlers ofNew Haven, Connecticut. They were most likely related. William and HenryPeck's names appeared on the first list of planters and estates drawn upJune 4, 1639. He and Henry Peck supposedly emigrated to America in thecompany of Governor Eaton and the Reverend John Davenport and others whoarrived on the ship 'Hector' in Boston, June 26, 1637. Henry Peck's andJoseph Peck's names appeared also on the list of planters and estates inNew Haven drawn up in 1640.
Henry Peck's name is mentioned in the New Haven Colony records severaltimes before his early death in 1651. Joseph Peck apparently lived in theHenry Peck household, and was most likely his brother. He did not marryuntil 1650. Both Henry and Joseph Peck took the oath of fidelity in NewHaven July 1, 1644. William Peck was perhaps twenty years older thanHenry and Joseph Peck, but there is no record that he was their father. He was a merchant and a man of means and high social standing. He was atrustee and treasurer for some time of the Colony, and a Deacon of theNew Haven church from 1659 until his death October 4, 1694, at theadvanced age of ninety-three.
Henry Peck's wife was Joan, her surname not being known. She joined theNew Haven church in 1646. Henry Peck died in November, 1651. His will wasmade August 30, 1651, and the inventory of his estate was taken onNovember 30, 1651. The will reads:

'The Last Will and Testman't of Henry Pecke The 30th 8th month 1651.Henry Peck being weake and near his change, yet haveing the use of hisUnderstanding, desires in the first place, to resigne up his soule toGod; and for that Portion of the outward Blessings God hath given him, todispose them thus. That after debts discharged, I due give to my wife, myhouse and home Lott, and halfe the household stuff, The other halfe to bedivided amonge the children. Also, I doe give to my wife the highest Cowand the rest of ye Cattell and Land to be divided amonge the children;viz this pvisall that if ther be one part That appears to be better thanthe other, or more Convenient, That better part or most Convenient, I doedispose to my Elder sonn Joseph; and That these Cattell and Land bedivided some after my decease, and the improvement of them be put intoTrusty hands for the good of them all.
