Isaac Morley and Lucy Gunn and their children, Philena,Lucy Diantha and Edith
Ann were baptized by Parley P. Pratt. The endowments were performed in a room
over J. Smith's store in Nauvoo. Records of the Nauvoo temple shows
endowments for them were performed on 11 Dec 1845. Probably repeated for
further instructions.

The family came to Utah in 1848. The records of the St. George Temple give
record of Isaac and Lucy sealed on 24 Apr 1879. On 29 Oct 1840, Isaac Morley,
Sr. was baptized for his grandfather, Timothy Morley(deceased). Baptism for
the Dead were performed in the Mississippi River at this time. On 8 Nov 1841,
Brigham Young dedicated the the baptismal font of the Nauvoo Temple.

Isaac Morley, Sr. was ordained a High Priest on 3 Jun 1831 by Lyman Wright.
Set apart as a counseler to Bishop Edward Partridge, the same day as he was
ordained a Patriarch at Far West Missouri, on 4 May 1835 under the hands of
Joseph Smith, Sidney Rigdon and Hyrum Smith. On Wednesday, 22 Sep 1840, First
Stake was organized by a committe at Lyma, Handcock, Illinois with Isaac
Morley, Sr. as President, John Merdock and Frederick Cox as counselers. The
first Temple apron in this dispensation was owned by Isaac Morley, Sr. and
hangs in a case in the Manti Temple.

Issac served in the War of 1812 from August 22, 1812 to February 27, 1813. He was a private in Captain Clark Parker's Company in the Ohio Militia.

In June 1831, Isaac was appointed by revelation to travel to Missouri in the
company of Erza Booth, preaching by the way (D&C 52). During the month of
July, 1833, the Jackson County mob tarred and feathered Bishop Edward
Partridge. Isaac and five others stepped forward and offered themselves as
ransom for their brethren, willing to be scourged or die, if it would but
appease the anger of the mob.
