     The issue of Christopher Walbach and Lydia Elsberry took their mothers maiden name after their farther died when they were young. Even though their mother remarried several times, they retained the Elsberry name.

Benjamin's wife's name is Francina Luckey.

     Never Married
During the Revoluntionary War, he was captured and imprisioned at Charleston, South Carolina, by the British and was treated rather badly by his guards, so that he hated the British for the rest of his life.

A legatee of John Hodge, of Oglethorpe County, GA., signed a receipt in full on Dec 31, 1807. 1790 Surry Co. NC: Jacob 1w. male 16& upward, 1 w. Male u/16, 2 all age females. 1800 Surry Co., NC.

In July 1797, jacob purchased 200 acres from Benjamin Elsberry on Troublesome Branch of Long Creek. Purchased 140 acres from Lewis Elliot on Deep Creek, Surry Co., NC 14 Nov 1788.

Arrived Wilkinson Co. MS prior ro 1810. Will dated 8 Sep 1827, Recorded April 1840.
