BIOGRAPHY OF ELIZABETH HAZARD

Elizabeth was born about 1626 in Portsmouth, Rhode island, the d aughterof Thomas Hazard and Martha Potter. She married about 16 43, GeorgeLawton. He was much older than her and an influencia l man in Portsmouth.They had ten children, all born in Portsmou th. George died in 1693 andElizabeth married as her second husb and in 1694, Henry Brightman.Elizabeth died in Portsmouth on No vember 6, 1711.
