Individual Note: The following is from: Settlers of Beekman Patent, Vol III, Pleasant Valley, NY 1993, pg 932:
"Ichabod Bowerman married a woman named Lydia; family tradition says she was Lydia Mott. Bob Bowerman has researched both Bowerman and Mott families and located a Monmouth, N.J. marriage bond for an Ichabod Bowerman and Lydia Petty dated 18 Oct 1744. Seth Allen, probably son of Ebenezer, was on the bond wiyh Bowerman. Seth Allen also witnessed a document for THomas Aking who had gone to Monmouth, NK. THe first child of Ichabod and Lydia was born a little early, perhaps they eloped to NJ to avoid censure"
